Fulbright Teacher Exchanges

The Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Program provides Pakistani secondary-level teachers of Sciences and Mathematics from government schools with unique opportunities to develop expertise in their subject areas, enhance their teaching skills, and increase their knowledge of the United States.

Funding for this program is being provided by the U.S. Department of State. The six-week professional development program will be held in the United States in 2027.

The program is focused on building expertise in best-practice teaching methodologies and techniques, including the development of lesson-planning skills, assessment techniques, and teaching strategies for the home environment, as well as instructional technology training in the use of computers for the internet, word processing, and as teaching tools.

Participants will also engage in a 40-hour field experience organized by the host university at a local secondary school. Trips to U.S. cultural sites, civic activities, and academic support will be provided for participants throughout the program.

Eligibility Criteria:

Government school teachers, teaching Sciences and Mathematics to class 8 to 10

Pakistani citizens with permanent residence in Pakistan

Minimum five years of teaching experience

Proficient in written and spoken English

Plan to continue teaching for at least five years after completion of the program Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree.

Ineligibility:

Applicants with dual U.S./Pakistani nationality or those having a spouse or child over 18 years of age who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Employees/contractors of the Fulbright

organization, the U.S. Department of State, or USAID and their spouses, children, siblings, dependents, and parents

People who have already availed one scholarship award for any of the U.S. government programs

Deadline: February 26, 2026

Plagiarism, fraudulent publications, or other misrepresentation in an application will lead to disqualification at any stage of the program. The use of generative artificial software to write application essays is prohibited.
