Recruitment Punjab Prisons Department

The Punjab Prisons Department invites applications from suitable candidates for recruitment in the following prisons:

District Jail Rawalpindi

Van Jail Faisalabad

Van Jail Lahore

Candidates must deposit a challan fee of Rs. 500 in Account No. PUN60100303360022 in the name of the applicant.

Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Applications must be submitted online through the official website as given advertisement.

General Instructions

Government and semi-government employees must apply through proper channel.

Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Submission of false information or fake documents will result in permanent disqualification and legal action.

Recruitment will be made according to:

Punjab Government Recruitment Policy 2004 (Revised 2016)

Punjab Prison Service Rules 2025

Pakistan Prison Rules 1978

All candidates must pass written test, physical test, medical examination, and interview.

No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in tests or interviews.

The department reserves the right to cancel or modify any post without assigning a reason.

Appointment will be under the Contributory Pension Scheme as per Civil Services Act 1974 (Amended 2024).

District Eligibility

For Lahore Posts:

Residents of Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Hafizabad, and Narowal are eligible.

For Faisalabad Posts:

Residents of Faisalabad, Jhang, Chiniot, and Toba Tek Singh are eligible.

For Rawalpindi Posts:

Residents of Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, and Gujrat are eligible.
In some posts, candidates from other districts of Punjab may also apply.

Physical Standards

Male Candidates:

Minimum height: 173 cm

Chest: 87 cm (with 5 cm expansion)

Running: 1.6 km within prescribed time

Vision: Clear vision in both eyes

Female Candidates (Lady Warder):

Minimum height: 158 cm

Weight according to height

Running: 1.6 km within prescribed time

Clear eyesight required

Educational Qualification

Minimum Secondary School Certificate (Matric) at least Second Division from a recognized board

Diploma in relevant field (for specific posts)

Valid LTV driving license (for relevant posts)

Some posts require 12 years of relevant experience

Quota Allocation

20% quota for children of serving employees of the Prisons Department

15% quota for women

3% quota for persons with disabilities

5% quota for minorities

1 post reserved for Ex-Servicemen (additional 15 marks as per approved criteria)

فیصل آباد، جھنگ، چنیوٹ، ٹوبہ ٹیک سنگھ

راولپنڈی کیلئے اہل اضلاع:

راولپنڈی، اٹک، چکوال، جہلم، منڈی بہاؤالدین، گجرات
دیگر اضلاع پنجاب کے امیدوار بھی بعض آسامیوں کیلئے اہل ہیں۔
